The Department of Commerce, Union Christian College (Autonomous), Aluva, organized a Career Orientation Session for the B.Com Final Year students on 29 June 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at MB Block, Room No. 38. The session, titled “Opportunities in the Health & Safety Sector for Graduates,” was conducted in association with Skill Crafter Academy. The resource person, Mr. Sreejith Chandran, Director of Operations, Skill Crafter Academy, provided students with valuable insights into the rapidly growing Health and Safety sector. He discussed the scope of the industry, various job opportunities available for graduates, salary structures and compensation trends, and career progression pathways in the field. The session helped students understand how commerce graduates can build successful careers in the Health and Safety sector through appropriate training and certifications. The interactive session encouraged students to explore emerging career opportunities beyond traditional commerce professions and clarified their doubts regarding employment prospects. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Sumitha Pankaj, Head of the Department, and coordinated by the faculty coordinators Ms. Rintu Jose and Ms. Preetha K. S. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the participants better informed and motivated to explore diverse career options.
