The Department of Commerce, Union Christian College, Aluva, in association with Kerala Bank, organized a financial awareness programme titled “Financial Fitness for Gen-Z” on 11 August 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the MB Block. The programme was handled by Ms. Rani Nixon, Financial Literacy Counselor, and aimed to create awareness among students about effective financial management and responsible financial decision-making. The session covered important areas such as budgeting basics, smart saving, understanding financial products, digital banking and safety, and investing for the future. The programme provided students with practical knowledge on managing money, developing saving habits, using digital banking services safely, and planning for their future financial needs. The session was coordinated by Ms. Preetha K S and Ms. Rintu Jose, under the guidance of HOD in Charge Ms. Rintu Jose. The programme was a valuable initiative that enhanced financial literacy among students and encouraged them to develop sound financial habits from an early age.
