The Department of Commerce, Union Christian College (Autonomous), Aluva, in association with Hedge School of Applied Economics, organized a career guidance programme titled “Future Finance Careers: Exploring Opportunities in Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI)” on 23 June 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the MCA Conference Hall. The session was led by Mr. Noufal Latheef (CWM), Director, Hedge School of Applied Economics, who provided students with valuable insights into the wide range of career opportunities available in the BFSI sector. He discussed emerging trends in banking, financial services, insurance, investment management, fintech, and wealth management, while emphasizing the importance of professional skills, certifications, and industry readiness. The interactive session enabled students to clarify their doubts regarding career prospects, higher education opportunities, and the competencies required to succeed in the finance industry. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Rintu Jose and Ms. Preetha K. S. under the guidance of Ms. Sumitha Pankaj, Head of the Department of Commerce, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The programme successfully enhanced students’ awareness of the evolving finance sector and inspired them to explore promising career paths in banking, financial services, and insurance.
